Last weekend we met our friends Torey and Morning for some pumpkin carving.  I don’t remember this being an annual thing at my house as a child…I’m sure I did it a couple of times but it wasn’t something we did each year that is for sure and I’m also sure I didn’t have any involvement in the actual carving part.

Mine turned out pretty well for a first time carver.

It even looked super scary when lit up

Unfortunately some varmint ate it’s face off while we were at work on Monday so now it kinda looks like scar face.  And since his teeth are missing he just looks happy instead of scary. 

I guess I learned my lesson…wait til the weekend before to carve and don’t leave Mr. Pumpkin unattended.
